Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Release: Hello Gorgeous
For this first card, I used the new Folk Art Flowers Cling Stamp. I love how it cut apart for multi-stamping, and I have a fun tutorial to share with you how I utilized that to make this card!
I started by stamping just the stems and leaves with Shabby Shutter Distress Oxides on Distress White Heavystock using the Misti. Next, I had the tops of flowers in place on the Misti and inked them up with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide, then I layered some Festive Berries Distress Oxide, on the base of the flowers. I used an ink blending foam to dab and blend the edges of the Festive Berries ink.
I stamped the flower tops. I then placed the dots into the background stamp and stamped them with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide.
I dusted the background with the Rabbit Hole Designs Cotton Powder Tool, to take the static electricity off the paper. Since I was using a Misti for stamp placement, and I never moved my stamp or the paper, I then inked the WHOLE stamp background with Versamark, sprinkled on Ultra Fine Clear Embossing Powder, and embossed.
Next, I inked up the Tim Holtz Tiny Text stamp with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide. I just pressed the cardstock down onto the stamp so that it would for sure stamp out imperfectly. Also, because I clear embossed over the floral background, all of that inking is now sealed in and won’t be affected by anything we stamp or any wet techniques we are about to do.
Using a Distress Sprayer, I dripped a little bit of water on the background, this reacted with some of the text I just stamped. I then used Vintage Photo Distress Re-inker, watered down, to make some splatters with a paintbrush.
I then sprayed some water droplets with a Distress Sprayer to break up those splatters a bit.
Next, I ink blended some Distress White Cardstock with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide, and another piece with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide.
I diecut the words from the new You’re On My Heart Die from the Ground Espresso piece, and the background from the Vintage Photo piece. I stamped the Tiny Text again, on the background layer with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide.
I die cut a small heart from Lawn Fawn, inked it with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide, and then embossed it with Saltwater Distress Glaze. I added that to the sentiment.
Lastly, I added a few Topaz Twinkle embellishments from Trinity Stamps.

Wow, did you do a lot of layers and depth to this card!! It’s amazing! I probably would not have thought to do the word stamp but it provides a lot of additional texture. Kudos!
