Time for a NEW Simon Says Stamp Wednesday ChallengeHey, everyone! Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our challenge last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too. This week the challenge is Add a Die-Cut!

Don’t miss it! Today is also the release day of the Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit and I have TWO cards to inspire you here

We are featuring Penny Black Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge, but if you have them we would love to see them used! As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store! YAY!

How adorable is Mimi the Mermaid!?! I just NEEDED her, and she was so much fun to color and create with!

I started by ink blending the front with Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Inks. Have you tried ink blending with them yet? Like BUTTA!

Then I splattered some water droplets on it with the Distress Sprayer and heat set.

For the inside of the card, I actually created it all on a separate cardstock panel, so that I could avoid the Copic markers bleeding through. I stamped and colored with Copic Markers. I then ink blended around the edges with the same Distress Oxide colors and repeated the water droplets like the front.

Using Lawn Fawn’s new Glue Tube I added some glue here and there and sprinkled Prisma Glitter. I also added some white gel pen details and lastly some white Nuvo Drops.

For the front, I die-cut a scalloped circle and decorated it with the “salt life” die. I layered 4-5 layers and pieces some yellow cardstock for the starfish.

Mermaid is so utterly cute and her seahorse is adorable, I have a cute seahorse tattoo like that little guy. Great colours on your card, you seem to have just the right touch with all colours on your cards.
