Ok, let’s be honest.
November rolls around and we say to ourselves “man I should’ve started to make holiday cards A LOT sooner.
or
I have so many wicked cute holiday sets that I haven’t even had a chance to play with yet.
I am going to guess that most of you who are reading this post fall into one if not both of those scenarios. So I was talking with my crafty friends Chari and Cheiron, and I mentioned it would be fun to challenge each other to create at least one-holiday card a month. I mean, that would give me 12 handmade holiday cards to send out this year and that would be way more then I sent out last year.
So each month on the third Thursday each of us girls is going to post our holiday creation and hopefully inspire you to create one too! We also have some other crafty friends joining us this month, so be sure to visit Caryn and Libby too for some holiday inspiration!

We can do this! We can create holiday cards all year, and be a little bit more prepared for the holiday season!
Winter Woods
This card really has minimal supplies. I started with the Newton’s Nook Whispering Pines Set. I stamped a few of the trees with Peeled Paint Distress Oxide Ink and die-cut them out.
Did you know that the Distress Oxide Inks make for a fabulous stamping ink with detailed stamps?!
Then I ink stamped the little set of snowflakes included in the Whispering Pines Stamp Set all over the top half of the card and heat embossed with white powder. After I was done embossing I ink blended over the background with Distress Oxide Inks (Faded Jeans, Seedless Preserves and Picked Raspberry).
I die cut “Happy Christmas” from the Happy Winter & Christmas die set from Simon Says Stamp. Once I placed the trees and the sentiment I added some snow to the ground with white Liquid Applique and then also a little bit of Nuvo White Blizzard Glitter along the applique.
Ok, time for you to go visit Caryn, Chari, Cheiron, and Libby to see what they created THEN your turn to make a holiday card! I can’t wait to see what you make 🙂
