Before I share my card, I wanted to let you guys know my class schedule is empty for the next few months. I spend the summer months mostly being a mermaid, and then I pick up teaching again in September. All my classes are posted on my class page here so save the dates!

OK! Back to this fun challenge! This time it’s all about spectacular skies! Remember the only rule, is to use at least ONE Lawn Fawn item.
Relax It’s Summer, Lawn Fawnatics
For this card, I wanted to play with ALL the new goodies! Have you seen the latest release from Lawn Fawn?
I started by ink blending the back panel with Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide. For the front panel, I ink blended with Mustard Seed, Peacock Feathers, and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide, and then die cut it with the new Sunray Backdrop.
Once that was die cut, I covered it with Distress Collage Medium, Matte and spritzed with the Glitter Duster that is filled with Rock Candy Distress Glitter
I then stamped and colored the cute little bear from the new On the Beach stamp set. I die cut him and a pair of sunglasses out.
I ink blended some pieces of cardstock with Distress Oxide to die cut out the pieces from Hammock and Trees.
- Ground Espresso – front of the hammock
- Tea Dye- back of the hammock
- Walnut Stain- palm tree trunks and coconuts
- Mowed Lawn- top of palm trees
Once I put the palm trees and hammock together, I tucked the bear in for a snooze in the sunshine! I added a touch of black glaze pen to his sunglasses to make them look more real.
For the sentiments, I die cut the new Hello Border out of Black Licorice Cardstock. I also stamped “Have a Relaxing Summer Day” In Walnut ink on a sentiment banner.
It has been a very chilly May here in New England, so I think I am creating cards I wish to live in 😉 Summer will be here soon! (at least I keep telling myself)
