Hero Arts 45th Anniversary Blog Hop, Day 2
Hi everyone! Can you believe that Hero Arts is celebrating 45 years!! Since I just turned 40 this is even more amazing to me! Welcome to the 2nd day of the Hero Arts 45th Anniversary Blog Hop! I have TWO cards to share with you today. Hero Arts is bringing back some stamps from the “vault”, ones that were released many years ago, retired, but available again!

If you are new to my site you may not know that I am a mermaid. The rest of you are probably not surprised to see me sharing a mermaid card! Was so excited to see this Beach & Sea Stamp released again!
Card Details:
I started by stamping and coloring the mermaid with Copic markers. I added a hint of teal in her hair like me.
For the inky background, I cut a panel of Distress Watercolor Cardstock and watercolored with Distress Oxide ink pads. The colors I used were Mermaid Lagoon, Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade.
I used Wet Cement Hero Arts ink to stamp the seagull. For the card base, I used Soft Brown Shadow Ink to stamp the various sea shells.
I realize this next card isn’t for everyone, but I still wanted to share it today. Sometimes life doesn’t go the way that we want, and I think if I were to mail this card to a friend with some thoughtful words inside it would make them chuckle, and that’s all you need some days.
Card Details:
For the background on this card, I inked up the Aged Shadow Stamp that was brought back from the vault with Distress Oxide pads. Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, and Seedless Preserves. I spritzed the stamp with the Distress Sprayer and then stamped it on Distress Watercolor Cardstock.
On top of this background, I then stamped the Bullsh*t sentiment, that was also brought back from the vault with Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

Wonderful cards – I love your mermaid card, the colour/inking is gorgeous and the design of it is so artistic. I love the bullshit card too – it has a very edgy street art look to it and the font of that stamp is great – makes me think of tattoos.

I love that aged shadow stamp. I still use my shadow stamps from years ago.

I adore the “sky’ background technique and colors. Just Wow! I would never have thought to use pink in a sky.
