Alright, now to the fun cards I have to share with you-
Rainy, Inky, Scene, Lawn Fawnatics
I have been playing with Distress Spray Stains a TON getting ready for my upcoming online Distress Technique class, and I just couldn’t stop playing and creating with them, so I used them for these cards here!
I started by spreading some Distress Opaque Texture Paste through Lawn Fawn’s Rainy Stencil on the smooth side of Distress Watercolor Cardstock and let that dry.
While waiting for the paste to dry I then stamped, colored, and diecut images from Beary Rainy Day, Rain or Shine Before ‘n Afters and the little bear that was part of the last gift with purchase from the Spring release.
To create the inky background, now that the Distress Texture Paste was dry, I used Salvaged Patina, Faded Jeans, and Hickory Smoke Distress Spray Stain. I then diecut the background out of the largest Outside In Stitched Rectangle.
On another piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock I made a rainbow background using Distress Spray Stains in the following colors:
- Kitsch Flamingo
- Mustard Seed
- Salvaged Patina
For the sentiment, I white embossed onto black cardstock using Yeti Lawn Fawn pigment ink, and Alabaster White Brutus Monroe White Embossing Powder.
Note: whenever I do ANY embossing, I prep the surface using the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool
I added some Prisma glitter to parts of the rainbow, the top of the umbrella. I added some black glaze pen to all the bears’ noses and the buttons on their rain jackets. I added glossy accents to all the rainboots, the puddle, splashes, and all water.
