Rainbow Hello, Lawn Fawnatics

This challenge inspired me to play with some Distress Backgrounds and layer over them with the new Lawn Fawn Cloudy Stencil. If you look closely you can see each one above is slightly different. I have determined, again, that if I were stranded on a deserted island and only allowed a few crafty supplies… I would definately want my Distress Inks! I love them so much.

Some of the different backgrounds I created

• Watercolored stripes of rainbow color
• Ink blended stripes of rainbow color
• Ink “smooched” stripes of rainbow color

I used both regular Distress and Oxide in my goto rainbow colors

• Picked Raspberry
• Spiced Marmalade
• Mustard Seed
• Twisted Citron
• Peacock Feathers
• Seedless Preserves

I then ink blended clouds over the backgrounds with the new Lawn Fawn cloudy stencil and Distress Inks. When using dye-based inks, regular Distress Inks I use blending brushes for a soft look. When using pigment based inks, Distress Oxide, I still use ink blending tools/foam.

I then used the Puffy Cloud border and Simple Puffy Clouds to add to the cards. I used Make Me Smile to add the wink to the cloud.

I used the scripty hello and stars from Yay! Kites.

It was super easy to create a bunch of these cards and I have already mailed out a few.
