3 Cards, 1 Stencil – Sunny Days Ahead

Hi everyone! Here today with 3 new cards, using one stencil. I love the variety I was able to achieve, and hopefully, it inspires you and gives you some ideas for how to use your stencils!

3 Cards, 1 Stencil – Sunny Days Ahead

For all three of these cards, I used the new Simon Says Stamp Rose Trio Stencil

When using stencils lately, I have falling in love with Wendy Vecchi’s Stay-tion. This is a magnetic board- making it easy to hold the stencil in place on your paper for any ink blending, or spreading of paste etc. It seriously makes me want to use my stencils WAY more!

Rainbow Roses

• Held down the stencil with Wendy Vecchi’s Stay-tion
• Using blending brushes on the smooth side of Distress Watercolor Cardstock, ink blended with Distress Ink. Festive Berries, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet
• Splattered water droplets with a Distress Sprayer, blotted, heat set.
• Die-cut out with a stitched rectangle die
• Stamped/ clear embossed sentiment from Simon Says Stamps Stronger Together Stamp set
• Adhered sequins with glue tube

Glitter Roses

• Held down the stencil with Wendy Vecchi’s Stay-tion
• Using blending brushes on the smooth side of Distress Watercolor Cardstock, ink blended with Distress Ink. Festive Berries, Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar, Crushed Olive, Mowed Lawn
• Keeping the stencil in place spread Ranger Transparent Matte Texture Paste through the stencil with a palette knife
• Sprinkled Prisma Glitter over the wet paste
• Set aside to dry
• Once dry, ink blended Peacock Feathers Distress Ink on the background
• Splattered water droplets with a Distress Sprayer, blotted, heat set.
• Die-cut out with a stitched rectangle die
• Stamped/ clear embossed sentiment from Simon Says Stamps Beautiful Day stamp set
• Stamp solid butterflies from Beautiful Day stamp set with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink
• Adhered gems with glue tube

Black & White Roses

• Held down the stencil with Wendy Vecchi’s Stay-tion
• Using blending brushes on the smooth side of Distress Watercolor Cardstock, ink blended with Distress Ink. Hickory Smoke, Black Soot
• Keeping the stencil in place spread Ranger Transparent Matte Texture Paste through the stencil with a palette knife
• Set aside to dry
• Once dry, splatter ink drops on the background with Distress Ink. Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, Seedless Preserves
• Splattered water droplets with a Distress Sprayer, blotted, heat set. The texture paste will resist the ink droplets.
• Die-cut out with a stitched rectangle die
• Die-cut “miss you” sentiment several times from black cardstock, and stack together with a glue tube
• Adhere sentiment to the card
• Adhered pearls with glue tube
