Get Cracking: Holiday Wishes

Have you heard of my Get Cracking on Christmas Series? Well, this year is going to bigger and better and more inspiring than ever!  So here are the details:

Let’s be honest.

November rolls around and we say to ourselves “man I should’ve started making holiday cards A LOT sooner.”

or

“I have so many wicked cute holiday sets that I haven’t even had a chance to play with yet.”

I am going to guess that most of you who are reading this post fall into one if not both of those scenarios. So for the past 2 years, some of my crafty friends and I have been challenging each other to create at least one-holiday card a month. I mean, that would give me 12 handmade holiday cards to send out at the end of the year and that’s better than none.

This year I am excited to have MORE crafty friends participating with me AND I will be offering a GIVEAWAY each month to you guys!

On the third Thursday, we are going to post a holiday creation and hopefully inspire you to create one too!

Get Cracking: Holiday Wishes

We are all aware of the difficult times going on, and I adore how the crafting community has really stepped in and given us comfort, a goal, a focus. I am so thankful for this hobby. To give me a creative release. To create cards I can share with friends to brighten their days and to thank all the hero’s working hard to treat people and keep us all safe.

Hero Arts is hosting a Stay Crafty Challenge each month and we’ve partnered up with them to challenge everyone to work on their holiday cards.

I love this sweet little deer from the Color Layering Fawn stamp set. I love to stamp him in pinks. It is a color layering stamp, and I used Distress Oxides to stamp him. Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry. I stamped the leaves in Bundled Sage and Evergreen Bough.

The fun background is Hero Arts cling stamp. I white embossed it and then watercolored it with Festive Berries Distress Oxide. It reminded me of Candy Canes.

For the sentiment, I used Holiday Wishes stamp & cut. I cut “wishes” out of Pixie Dust Sparkle Cardstock and stamped “holiday” with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide.
