Hello Everyone! I have a fun card to share with you today! Before I share my card, I wanted to remind you that I will be at Firefly Farm in Minnesota for 3 days of fun-filled classes. Alright, now to the fun project I have to share with you-

Rain or Shine, Lawn Fawn

I had so much fun sharing Distress Watercolor Pencils with all of you during the last Create With Us; I thought I would share another card with you to keep trying those watercolor pencils out! I started by creating the background with Distress Watercolor Pencils to create today’s card. I used a piece of acetate and rubbed the wet Distress Watercolor Pencils onto the plastic, then transferred the pigment to a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock, similar to “ink-smooshing.” I then die-cut the background with the largest outside-in stitched rectangle. I watercolored a little puddle where I knew my bear was going to stand. I also stamped some of the raindrops from Beary Rainy Day with Broken China Distress Oxide Ink and brushed over them with a wet paintbrush to move the ink around a bit.

Next, I stamped some images from Beary Rainy Day and colored them with Copic Markers. I stamped them onto Neenah cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink. I used the Copic markers above to color the images. With the swatches above, you can easily substitute them for similar colors or even a different coloring medium. I splattered the background with Gansai Tambi Starry Colors Palette. I die cut the star border from Silver Sparkle Cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment with Broken China Distress Oxide and cut it into word fetti strips. I added the images and sentiment to my card with foam strips, foam squares and glue tube. I added some Prisma Glitter to the top of the umbrella with a Quickie Glue Pen. I added Prisma glitter to the puddle and water splashes with Glossy Accents so it would be dimensional. I also added some glossy accents to the bear’s boots and a little Black Glaze Pen to his nose.
