Hi everyone! I am back with some more inspiration with the new Colorado Craft Company stamp release! Be sure to read to the end for a special offer and giveaway details!
Wrapped in Happiness
This card features the new set, Hiding Presents, and is such a clever scene. This could even work for a winter birthday card!
I started by stamping the Hiding Presents main image and the little mouse with a cane on a piece of Neenah cardstock and colored the image in with Copic markers and diecut them out.
I then watercolored a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of Distress White Heavystock with Distress Inks:
- Villainous Potion
- Wilted Violet
- Blueprint Sketch
- Picked Raspberry
leaving the lower third of the panel white. On the white space, I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink.
Using a Quickie Glue pen and Prisma glitter I added some sparkle to the bunny’s scarf and the bow on the present. I added the main image to the background using a Lawn Fawn glue tube.
I then diecut a Lawn Fawn reverse stitched scalloped rectangle window, the largest size, out of Ground Coffee cardstock, and adhered it to the panel with Lawn Fawn Glue Tube
Then I spread some of the Snowfall Distress Grit Paste to the ground, using a palette knife. This Grit Paste is part of the limited edition Holiday Distress Texture set. This set is still available at Simon Says Stamp at the time I am writing this post. As an alternative, you could also use regular Distress Grit Paste.
Lastly, I added the little mouse over the “snow” SO sweet!
