Alright, now to the fun project I have to share with you-
Monochromatic, Lawn Fawnatics
For this card, I wanted to create a Halloween card with a non-traditional color scheme. I love all the soft pinks I have been seeing this fall season! I used images from Simply Celebrate Fall and Wild Wolves. I used Lawn Fawn Jet Black to stamp the images, and I stamped them onto Lawn Fawn white cardstock which is Neenah Classic Crest 80 LB Smooth Solar White Paper.
I used the above Copic markers to color the images. With the swatches above, you can easily substitute for similar colors or even a different coloring medium. If you are interested in learning more about Copic coloring or alcohol marker coloring, be sure to check out my Copic 101 online class here.
Then for the background, I die-cut the Dotted Moon and Stars Backdrop: Landscape from Distress White Heavystock. Even though this is the landscape die, I think it still looks fun on a portrait card. I then ink-blended with Distress Inks (Spun Sugar, Saltwater Taffy, and Kitsch Flamingo). Whenever I am ink blending, I love to use the Ink Stands to hold my ink pads, I also use a small mister bottle filled with Isopropyl Alcohol, to quickly clean my table surface with a Flour Sack Cloth. Have you seen my new *exclusive* Flour Sack cloths?! They are wicked fun and available in my online shop! I layered this backdrop onto Pixie Dust Sparkle Cardstock.
For the sentiment, I used Celebration Scripty Sentiments. I stamped “Happy Halloween” onto vellum with Distress Archival Hickory Smoke ink, so that it dried on the vellum and was a soft subtle sentiment. I wrapped the vellum around the card, so I could adhere it in the back. I then sprinkled some stars that I die-cut from the Hearts and Stars Skinny Tag die with Pixie Dust Sparkle Cardstock.
Lastly, I added a bit more sparkle by adding some Distress Rock Candy Glitter with Distress Collage Medium.
