Love You Beary Much, Simon Says Stamp Card Kit

Hello! I am sharing with you today a card I created with the Simon Says Stamp’s February Card Kit! This kit is overflowing with product! Two different stamp sets, a stencil, glitter paste, patterned papers, shaker mix, and more! This will be perfect to create some cards for those that you love.  I have two cards to share with you today!

Love You Beary Much, Simon Says Stamp Card Kit

For this card, I started out with the Tumbling Hearts stencil and glitter gel included in the kit. I spread the gel through the stencil onto kraft cardstock. Using the Stay-tion has really made using stencils so much easier and faster! It is a strong magnetic board.

While I set that aside to dry, I stamped the bear from the Love You Beary Much 6×8 stamp set included in the kit also on kraft cardstock. I then colored the bear with Copic markers, and the heart with Prismacolor Colored pencils.

I then stamped the “LOVE” sentiment with Versamark on kraft cardstock, and sprinkled white embossing powder, then embossed it with an embossing gun. I fussy cut out the bear and the individual letters of “LOVE”.

Once the glitter gel was dry I die-cut that panel with Lawn Fawn’s Outside-In Stitched Rectangles. This gives you a nice stitched panel slightly smaller than an A2 card. I then adhered that panel with foam tape to a kraft card base. Next, I adhered the bear and the letters all with 3M foam tape.

Lastly, for some finishing touches, I used a black glaze pen on the bear’s eyes and nose. I added some white gel pen dots to his cheeks and then I added a thick amount of glossy accents to the bear’s nose. A mini bottle of Glossy Accents is included in the kit, this is my favorite way to use it as I feel it gets fewer air bubbles.

For this second card, I wanted to create one that wasn’t so much a Valentine’s card but is more a sweet card you could send to any friend or family member. I started with the Tumbling Hearts Stencil again, this time ink blending a rainbow of colors with regular Distress Inks, still using the Stay-tion so the stencil stays in place for all of the ink blending.

I then took a piece of vellum, that was 4.25″ x 5.5″ and stamped/embossed the sentiment and the little heart bubble included in the Love You Beary Much stamp set. I also stamped the speech bubble on a piece of white cardstock.

I cut a stitched frame out of black cardstock and popped that up off the vellum with 3M foam tape. I then adhered that to the heart background. I like how the vellum softens the colors. I cut out the heart from the white cardstock and popped it up off the card. I used Glossy Accents to add some dimension to the heart.

As you can see, a perfect kit to make some love greetings. Hope you have a ton of fun creating with the Simon Says Stamp February card kit.
