Now to share some cards I created, I hope you find them inspiring!
For these cards, I started by stamping out a bunch of the images from the STAMPtember stamp set onto the smooth side of Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I stamped them with Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear embossed them. I then watercolored them with Distress Watercolor Pencils, and fussy cut them out. I then white embossed several sentiments on colored cardstock, cutting them into word fetti strips. I set all of this aside to create my backgrounds.
For the first set of backgrounds, on Distress White Heavystock, I ink blended a lighter color Distress Ink. I then used the Simon Says Stamp Scattered Snowflakes stencil laid over the background, and ink blended a darker Distress Ink in the same color family. Whenever I use stencils I use the Make Art Stay-tion to hold my stencils in place. I also found using an ink blending tool with Domed Foam, so I could wipe and pounce on this delicate stencil was better than using blender brushes where I could accidentally move or pick up the stencil.
The Distress Ink color combos I used were:
- Rustic Wilderness/ Mowed Lawn
- Festive Berries/ Lumberjack Plaid
- Peacock Feathers/ Salvaged Patina
After I ink-blended the darker Distress Ink, with the stencil in place I spread a thin layer of Distress Holiday Texture Paste Sparkle with a palette knife. I set these backgrounds aside to dry. Once dry I die-cut them with Lawn Fawn’s largest stitched rectangle in the Outside In Stitched Rectangle set.
I added some Prisma Glitter with a Quickie Glue pen to parts of the images. I then assembled each of the three cards using foam squares and foam strips to adhere the images and the sentiments. I also added some Pinkfresh Studio jewels and glitter drops for some more embellishing!
For this second set of backgrounds, I used some of the Distress Mica Stains Holiday sprays on Distress Watercolor Cardstock. These make for super quick, shimmery, beautiful backgrounds! Once they were dry I die-cut them with Lawn Fawn’s largest stitched rectangle in the Outside In Stitched Rectangle set.
For the snowman card, I used one of the mini stencils included in the Tim Holtz STAMPtember set and spread some Distress Grit Paste Glow through it. Once dry, I assembled the card, and then using Distress Collage Medium I added some Distress Mica Flakes along the ground under the snowman. The Distress Grit Paste Glow is wicked fun!!! I just love how it looks in the daylight and dark!
On these cards, I added a touch of Distress Rock Candy Glitter to the edge of the snowman, and the ornaments on the wreath. I also added some glossy accents to the nose of the reindeer.

It was a great evening yesterday during the Stamptember introduction. I immediately pressed the button for the set and of course the dies (don’t like cutting ;-)) and it is on its way to the Netherlands. Your cards are beautiful as always. Can’t wait to start with the beautiful set.

These are so cute. I love this set. Plus…………matching dies. Yay! I was going to make new Halloween cards with some new dies this year but I used it to purchase the Christmas stamp and dies.
