Card Details:
For this card, I started by ink-blending a piece of Distress White Heavystock on the front and back. The size of this piece was 8.5″ x 5.5″. I used Distress Inks to create an ombre; Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, and Festive Berries. I then used Hero Arts Poinsettia 6×6 Stencil, white pigment ink, and an ink blending tool with a foam applicator to pounce some white ink on the front of this card. I then splattered some gold paint using Gansai Tambi’s Starry palette. Next, I scored this panel at 2.75″ and 1.50″ and folded the gatefold, creasing it really well with a Teflon bone folder.
I then die-cut the new peeking reindeer fancy die out of Distress White Heavystock, and added color to it with Copic markers.
I used the above Copic markers to color the images. You will find them linked below in the cardmaking supply list. With the swatches above you can easily substitute for similar colors or even a different coloring medium. I added some detail to the eyes and cheeks with a Gelly Roll White Gel Pen. I then adhered the deer to the front panel. I used a glue tube for the lower part of his body, and foam squares behind his head so he appears to be leaning out towards you.
For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Distress White Heavystock that was 4″ x 5 1/8″. I ink-blended the same Hero Arts Poinsettia 6×6 Stencil but this time with the Distress Inks that I used to create the solid ombre. Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, and Festive Berries. I then stamped “Jingle All The Way” from the Holiday Season Messages stamp set in gold pigment ink.
I then added a touch of Prisma Glitter to the collar with a Quickie Glue Pen, and some Distress Rock Candy Glitter to the bell with Distress Collage Medium.
