Hi everyone, today I am here with a wicked fun set of cards! These cards are unique as their focus is on Cape Cod and Massachusetts. If you are not from the area or have no need for cards with these sentiments, they may still inspire you to create a similar card.
Papercraft Clubhouse is located in CT, I have taught there for a zillion years now and they are one of my favorite “local” stores. Even though it is a 2-hour drive for me to get there I still visit even when I am not teaching. They have an awesome selection of supplies, and recently launched an online store! They also host a variety of guest artists and this is usually when I drive to take classes.
They recently have offered some New England themed custom stamps, and of course I just HAD TO play with the Massachusetts set!

Everything I used on today’s cards can be purchased directly from Papercraft Clubhouse, (minus my Cape Cod stamp set which can be found in my shop) and I would encourage you to support this wonderful independent retailer. Jennabler alert: Papercraft Clubhouse offers free shipping with a $75 purchase!
I will list the supplies with each card to make it easier for you to shop. (jennabler alert) If you don’t see it on their site, give them a call or email them they would love to chat with you! Ok! Let’s get to the fun cards!
Cloudy Massachusetts
For this card I stamped and embossed the Massachusetts image. When I want black embossing I actually stamp the image with Versafine Black, and emboss with clear embossing powder- less messy and works out great! I did a little Copic coloring on some of the images, and then fussy cut out the shape. “Hello from” was white embossed on Blue Jay Lawn Fawn Cardstock and then cut out with a Lawn Fawn sentiment banner. The background is Stitched Cloud Backdrop Portrait from Lawn Fawn.
Note: Papercraft Clubhouse has a HUGE Lawn Fawn section and is always ordering from them. If you need anything Lawn Fawn they are a great source!
I ink blended the background with blender brushes and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink. On the edges I used Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.
Watercolored Massachusetts
This card is similar to the first one, only I stamped and embossed the Massachusetts image directly onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I then watercolored around it with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink. The “hello from” is the same as above, white embossed on Lawn Fawn Blue Jay Cardstock, and then cut out with a Lawn Fawn sentiment banner.
Made in Massachusetts
For this next card I stamped the lobster stamp all over with Candied Apple Distress Oxide, and then cut it out with a Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle. On a separate piece of Distress Watercolor cardstock I stamped and embossed the “made in Massachusetts” image. I then watercolored it with Distress Inks (Candied Apple, Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, Mustard Seed, and Vintage Photo), and fussy cut it out, popping it up off the card with 3M foam tape.
I just had to try out this same card design with the lobster from my Exclusive Cape Cod stamp set, and I love them both so much!
Wicked Cape Cod
For this next card, I used the images from the New England set, and Lawn Fawn’s Quinn’s ABC’s. I stamped and embossed everything on Distress Watercolor cardstock before watercoloring. All was watercolored with Distress Inks in the following colors:
- Sailboat: Salty Ocean, Candied Apple
- Whale: Chipped Sapphire
- Cape Cod Letters: Mustard Seed, Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves
This is a fun card, and with the alphabet set you could switch it up to say anywhere!
Greetings from Cape Cod
For the last card, I kept it simple and sweet 🙂
Stamping the smaller Massachusetts image in Versafine Onyx Black, and then adding the heart over Cape Cod with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide. I then watercolored the image in with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide. I stamped “Greetings from Cape Cod” which is an image from my exclusive Cape Cod set in Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide.
These cards were so fun to make and I love how unique and special the stamps are! Remember you can get all of your supplies from Papercraft Clubhouse. They even have a custom Connecticut stamp set!

These are wonderful stamp sets — I did not even know someone makes stamps to cities/areas. Stated immediately thinking what would represent my home town here in Finland.
Very nice set of unique cards too. I especially love the cas look on them.
Hugs,
Eemeli
