Gnome Lucky, Simon Says Stamp

Hey everyone! Today I am sharing with you a fun St. Patrick’s Day card I made with some of the new exclusive products from the Simon Says Stamps Good Luck Charm Release! I had so much fun creating this St. Patrick’s Day card- do you make cards for the holiday?

I used the new Radiating Squares Stencil set for the background. I ink blended the background using Simon Says Stamp blending brushes, and Pawsitively Saturated Inks. To create the rainbow I used:

• Sweets
• Cantaloupe
• Sunbeam
• Lucky
• Surf
• Cadette

I overlapped the colors a bit to get a beautifully blended rainbow, and the Pawsitively Saturated SSS inks blend like a dream on Distress White Heavystock!

Whenever I am stenciling, I use the Wendy Vecchi Stay-tion. It’s a magnetic board with strong magnets and grid helping to hold layers in place, and straight! I love this tool and it makes me want to use my stencils SO much more!!

Cleaning your stencils with rubbing alcohol in-between colors allows you to quickly move from color to color. I put some isopropyl alcohol into an empty mister bottle and wipe it with a flour sack cloth for quick clean-up.

When I am ink blending I love using the Ink Stand holders, this keeps the ink pads in place and keeps me from getting inky fingertips which will then ruin my project.

Next, I stamped and Copic colored the new Gnome Lucky image from Simon Says Stamp. This was a really fun image to color. You can see the Copic colored I used listed below, and they are linked in my supply list at the bottom of this post.

I stamped “Happy St. Patrick’s Day” and gold embossed on Noble Fir Lawn Fawn Cardstock. I tucked this sentiment under the main image.

I then cut out the image and added it to the stenciled background. I dabbed on some glossy accents and sprinkled some Chunky Glitter. Using a Quickie Glue Pen, I added some gold glitter to the buckle on the gnome’s hat.
