Alright, now to the fun cards I have to share with you-
Gifting a card set, Lawn Fawnatics
I warned you that I am obsessed with the new Clover Background Stencils in my last blog post here. I was having so much fun creating with the stencil set, I just kept going! I know you are probably wondering why I created thank you cards for a birthday themed challenge- well, I was thinking these would make an awesome card set to give as a gift for a birthday OR after your birthday you are always in the need of some thank you’s for all your sweet friends and family who spoil you on your special day!
So for these backgrounds, I stenciled the bottom layer with a light Distress Oxide color, and the top layer with a dark Distress Oxide color onto Distress White Heavystock. I kept each card monochromatic, see below for the list of what I used for each color scheme.
Using the Wendy Vecchi Stay-tion makes stenciling SO quick and easy, also cleaning your stencils with rubbing alcohol in-between colors allows you to quickly move from color to color. I put some isopropyl alcohol into an empty mister bottle and wipe it with a flour sack cloth for quick clean-up.
I then die-cut the backgrounds with my favorite, largest stitched rectangle in the Outside In Stitched Rectangle stackables, and matted them on coordinating Lawn Fawn cardstock. See below for the list of what I used for each color scheme.
For the sentiments, I die-cut the Giant Thank You out of Pixie Dust Sparkle Cardstock, and the coordinating cardstock. I attached the two offset with Lawn Fawn Glue Tube. I attached them to the card with Foam Strips, I am honestly wondering where these have been my whole life, and they make my life so much easier popping up all of the things.
I then cut some Simple Wavy Banners and stamped “You’re the Best” from Wavy Sayings with Versafine Onyx Black. I added the banners with foam squares. I then added a few stars diecut out of Pixie Dust Sparkle Cardstock with the Hearts & Stars Tiny Tag.
