Hello everyone! I am excited to participate in another year of the Get Cracking on Christmas series and wicked excited to work on my stash of holiday cards throughout the year! I will continue to create holiday cards with NO STRESS, using stamps and supplies I haven’t had a chance to play with yet and experimenting with different techniques.

Get Cracking: Shimmer Trees

Ok, I’m on a Distress Spritz sprays kick! I am still having a lot of fun playing and experimenting with them. This time I paired them with Distress Sprays and omgosh! SO yummy! To create the backgrounds, I sprayed Distress Sprays in Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, and Peacock Feathers. I then sprayed a little bit of water with the Distress Sprayer to allow the colors to mix, to get a pretty rainbow. I dried the backgrounds, and then sprayed the coordinating Distress Spritz sprays for some mega shimmer!

Once the background was completely dry, I then gold embossed the row of Christmas trees from Simon Says Stamps, Merry Christmas Trees stamp set. Whenever I do ANY embossing, I prep the surface using the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool. I stamp the image several times using a Misti and Versamark ink, then sprinkle the Gilded Gold embossing powder from Brutus Monroe.

For the sentiments, I gold embossed Simon Says Stamp Holiday Typewriter, and die cut them with their coordinating dies, adding them to the cards with foam squares and foam strips.

Then, with Distress Collage Medium, I added some Distress Rock Candy to some of the tree details and some Distress Mica Flakes along the ground.

These cards were so quick and easy to pull together. I can’t wait to share with you some tips and tricks during my YouTube LIVE.
