Hi everyone! Today, I am sharing a few cards I created with the new Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous release. I am honored to be a Tim Holtz maker and excited to inspire you more with his products!!! Tim Holtz was LIVE on his YouTube channel yesterday and shared even more inspiration you can still catch the replay! Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous: Watercoloring with Stencils
For these cards, I used the new Hodgepodge stamp set. I inked up the stamp with Distress Oxide inks in Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, and Wilted Violet onto Distress White Heavystock. I cleaned the stamp and then stamped it in Lost Shadow Distress Oxide. I fussy cut out some of the elements within the Hodgepodge stamp set with recoil scissors.
I then stamped out the words “Hello” and “Thanks” from the new Sign Painter stamp set. I fussy cut out the letters, but you could get the coordinating die set from Simon Says Stamp!
I also stamped some sentiments from the new Floristry stamp set to pair with the letters. I added these to the cards with foam squares.
I then layered some of the gray elements onto the card, flat, with Distress Collage Medium. These cards are bright, fun and easy to put together. You could do many different sentiments on them as well!
The new Floristry stamp set was the main supply I used for this next set of cards. I filled the background by stamping the image onto Distress Kraft Heavystock with Distress Oxide in Kitsch Flamingo and Salvaged Patina. I then stamped it with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock twice (since I was making two cards). I watercolored a section with Distress Watercolor pencils, then trimmed out a rectangle. I matted the rectangle with black cardstock and layered it onto the Kraft Heavystock.

For the sentiments, I white embossed ones from the Floristry stamp set. Whenever I do ANY embossing, I prep the surface using the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool. I stamp the sentiment several times using a Misti and Yeti white pigment ink, then sprinkle the Alabaster White embossing powder from Brutus Monroe.
I love how this spotlight stamping looks, and it makes watercoloring a little less overwhelming, because you are only needing to watercolor a small section.
