Get Cracking: Rainbow All The Snowflakes

Hello everyone! I am excited to participate in another year of the Get Cracking on Christmas series and wicked excited to work on my stash of holiday cards throughout the year! I will continue to create holiday cards with NO STRESS, using stamps and supplies I haven’t had a chance to play with yet and experimenting with different techniques.

Get Cracking: Rainbow All The Snowflakes

I still love this rainbow snowflake card I created back in 2021, and I was inspired to create another one, this time playing with Distress Watercolor Pencils.

I started by doing a “pigment smoosh” with Distress Watercolor Pencils and a piece of acetate, to create the rainbow watercolored background on Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I diecut it with the largest stitched rectangle from the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables.

I then watercolored some stitched snowflakes, the snowflake border, and the diagonal stripes border in a rainbow ombre.

For the sentiment, I die-cut Giant Let It Snow out of Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I added Distress Rock Candy to all the snowflakes with Distress Collage Medium. I also added Glossy Accents to the Diagonal Stripes Border.

I really had fun with all the watercoloring, and in rainbow colors for this holiday card. I can’t wait to share with you some tips and tricks during my YouTube LIVE.
