Hello everyone! I am excited to continue to share the Get Cracking on Christmas series and wicked excited to work on my stash of holiday cards throughout the year! I will continue to create holiday cards with NO STRESS, using stamps and supplies I haven’t had a chance to play with yet, and experiment with different techniques.

Get Cracking: Holly Jolly Christmas

There were so many fun items in the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Holiday release I wanted to play with some more of the items for this month’s Get Cracking on Christmas post. I started by dry embossing the new Holiday Knit Embossing Folder out of white cardstock. I did a little gold splatter to this background with Gansai Tambi Starry collection. I then diecut “JOY” from Big Tidings out of Distress Watercolor Cardstock and then the back panel from gold sparkle cardstock.

I then watercolored the word “joy” the holly, berries, and stars with Distress Watercolor Pencils. I then put a thick coat of glossy accents on my word “joy” and let it dry.

Once the letters were dry, I assembled the card, and then added Prisma Glitter to the stars with a Quickie Glue pen, and Distress Rock Candy to the berries and right side of the letters with Distress Collage Medium.

For the sentiment, I rubbed a bit of Festive Berries Distress paint to one of the sentiments from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Tiny Text Christmas. I love how this looks with the paint on stamps.
