Follow the Rainbows, Simon Says Stamp Card Kit

Hello! I am sharing with you today a few cards made with the Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit! This kit is chocked full with SO much fun 🙂

Follow the Rainbows, Simon Says Stamp Card Kit

As always, I have so much fun creating with this card kit! There is always a great variety of products- so you can make many different cards. I have 3 different cards to share with you today. I used the kit and a few other supplies from my stash.

For these 3 cards I only used the stamp set, Follow the Rainbows and the Clouds for Days stencil. The stamp set is particularly perfect for what we are all going through now.

The other night I hosted a Facebook LIVE where I created all 3 backgrounds and completed one of the cards. If you would like to watch the replay of that you can find it here

It was a fun night, and I plan on doing another Facebook LIVE this Thursday, March 26th at 7:30p ET on my Facebook page. Set your reminders! They are a TON of fun!

For this card, I ink blended the background with regular Distress Inks and blending brushes. I used Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire to create an ombre background.

I colored the girl with Copic Markers

I fussy cut her out. Stamped the image again on the background, and layered the curt image over it with a Lawn Fawn Glue Tube. This way we didn’t lose the raindrops and puddle etc.

I added some Prisma Glitter with a Quickie Glue Pen. I stamped the larger sentiment with Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide. I then cut my own banner. The smaller sentiment I stamped in Versafine Onyx Black.

For this second card, I created the background by ink smooshing with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink and Distress Oxide on Distress Watercolor Cardstock. This was demo’d on the Facebook LIVE and you can watch the replay here

I colored and cut the image the same way. This time adding some Chunky Glitter with a Lawn Fawn Glue Tube as the puddle.

For this last card, I used the Clouds for Days stencil. I started by using a blending brush with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink to create a few rows of clouds. I then used Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke, an ink blending tool to ink 3 clouds. This was demo’d on the Facebook LIVE and you can watch the replay here

There are so many other cards I could create with this awesome card kit, I can’t wait to play with it a bit more! I hope you enjoy these cards and find them inspiring for when you get your kit!
