This release from Colorado Craft Company features illustrator Anita Jeram, and her art is SO cute, and a ton of fun to color!
Stars Make Me Dream
For this card, I used the new Stargazer stamp set from Colorado Craft. I stamped and colored the bears with Copic markers, and fussy cut them out.
I then created the background on a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I started by ink blending some stars using the Simon Says Stamp Falling Star stencil and Wendy Vecchi Stay-tion. I used Mustard Seed and Wilted Violet Distress Ink.
I then spread some Ranger Matte Transparent Texture Paste through the stencil, to lock in the colors. When the paste was dry, I did a little ink smooshing with Black Soot Distress Ink, and a piece of acetate. I dried that very well with the Ranger Heat Tool. Then, I placed the star stencil again and spread some more Matte Transparent Texture Paste, and while wet, I sprinkled Prisma Glitter all over.
I set the background aside to dry. I then embossed the sentiment on vellum using Versafine Onyx Black Ink, and Ultrafine Clear embossing powder. I prepped the vellum first with the Rabbithole Designs Cottontail powder tool.
To assemble the card, I wrapped the vellum around the card background and adhered it to the back. I also used 2 layers of black foam squares to add the bears, I wanted the stars to seem even further back from them I then matted the card front onto some black cardstock.
