I am so excited to share with you the new release from Colorado Craft Company and to share with you they have a new artist illustrating images for them! The new sets from Kris Lauren are SO cute, and a ton of fun to color!
This Is The Life
I had so much fun creating this cute scene with one of the new sets, This Is The Life.
I started by stamping the images with Crunchy Leaf Lawn Fawn Ink, a brown to give a softer look. I did a lot of masking with the mushrooms to allow the mouse to lay one and to have them overlap.
While all the images were masked, I ink blended the background using Blender Brushes and Distress Ink. Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, and Salvaged Patina. I am working on Distress White Heavystock, it is so nice for ink blending, and Copic coloring works really well on it too!
I then peeled off the masks and colored the images in with Copic markers. You can see all the colors I used below, and I have them linked in the supply list below.
I then stamped the grass along the bottom with Versafine Onyx Black. I cut the panel out with a stitched rectangle die. I matted it onto kraft cardstock. I stamped the sentiment with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide and embossed it with clear powder.
Lastly, I filled in the white spots on the mushrooms with a white gel pen, and added some glossy accents for dimension.

This is such an adorable card! It makes me want to take a little nap! The details in the sun setting or rising are beautiful and the mouse has been colored so realistic! I love Colorado Crafts! They have such quick shipping too! I’m always amazed, especially with all the shipping issue

Hey lady! I’m about halfway through the hop and I’ve gotta say, this is my fave so far. The purple mushrooms are giving me psychedelic vibes and I’m absolutely crushing on this card! Love the new line. I’d say the mice and teacups are high on my list too.
