Before I share my card today, I know most of you are aware that I travel and teach Lawn Fawn classes. I am finalizing my Spring schedule and will be sharing it soon on my class page here. I know how busy everyone is and I don’t expect that you can check my class page all the time, so the best way to be sure not to miss out if I am coming to your area is to sign up for my email newsletter here. You will want to choose at least the “monthly newsletter” option.
Ok, onto the CUTE stuff!
Card Remake, Lawn Fawn
Last month I shared with you a fun winter unicorn holiday card. I got a message from a close friend that my niece, Drew would love the card, so it inspired me to switch up the card to make it a birthday. This is a great reminder that we don’t always need to come up with new ideas. Changing the occasion of the card, or even the colors are sometimes just enough! If we are creating and sharing our cards with others that is all that matters! Drew turned 6 last week and she LOVED the card from Auntie Jenny; future card maker in the making!
Incorporating brighter colors and switching up the sentiment was all it took to transform this card. It was relatively easy since I wasn’t starting from scratch!
I love that you can use the Shadow Box Card Add-Ons for cards as well. I did that here with the rainbow add-on.
I colored the unicorn with brighter colors this time around. The rainbow I inked Distress Inks: Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, and Peacock Feathers.
I stamped the birch trees from Joy to the Woods in the new River Rock Premium Ink and traced some of the letters with Copic RV10.
I stamped some of the smaller images from the sets for hearts, and stars with Lawn Fawn Ink: Butter and Ballet Slippers.
For the sentiment this time I used Bannertastic and Big Scripty Words
Of course, I had to add some sparkle with a Quickie Glue Pen and Prisma Glitter.
I hope you enjoyed this card, and it has inspired you to play!
