Ok, at this point let’s be honest. Holiday cards we are making now are going to be hand-delivered or to start our stash for next year. It’s never too late to GET CRACKING! Each month on the third Thursday I have been posting a holiday creation and hopefully inspire you to create one too! I plan on doing this in 2020 as well, so I hope you will join me.
If you do end up making any please leave a comment below with a link, or tag me on Instagram so I can see! We are also using the hashtag #getcrackingonchristmas
We can do this! We can create holiday cards all year, and be a little bit more prepared for the holiday season!

Get Cracking: Holiday Shaker
This card was all inspired because I wanted to use these little peppermint shaker bits ha! Do you ever do that? Have the simplest supply that inspires a whole creation?
For the background of the card, I used the Mint Tim Holtz Shifter Stencil. I also used the Wendy Vechi Stay-tion. I love using that board with stencils, it really helps you keep everything in place. Using Distress Oxides in Festive Berries and Worn Lipstick I made the peppermint background.
I then die cut Mama Elephant’s Big Happy Holidays Die, out of Chili Pepper Lawn Fawn Cardstock.
For the shaker, I used Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Scalloped Circle Frames. I die cut it twice out of fun foam, once out of acetate, and once out of Pixie Dust Cardstock. I stacked these using a Lawn Fawn Glue Tube, being sure to adhere the Big Happy Holidays on top of the acetate, but below the Pixie Dust Cardstock layer.
Then I flipped over the shaker element and filled it with those cute little peppermint embellishments, as well as some other sequins I had.
I put a backer on the shaker element and adhered it to my card.
Happy that I am already started on cards for NEXT Christmas. You can see all the Get Cracking cards I have made here
I have some friends joining me this month- head on over and check out their creations!

🎅🎄 Happy Holidays! ⛄❄
Fantastic shaker, so colourful & cheerful. I love your work as I hope you know & have really enjoyed following you again this year. Look forward to seeing what 2020 brings. Merry Christmas to you & your family x
This is such a cute shaker. I have to start making more of them. Thanks for sharing your ideas and the products used to make the inspiration.
I came for a nose at your blog and I am SOOO glad I did, I love this card. I have a question, as I know you are not a ‘card mailer’ what do you do with all the cards you makes.
