7 holiday cards with Flora & Fauna

Merry Christmas, Mermaid Tail

When there is a holiday set called “Christmas by the Sea” I obviously NEED it 😉  I stamped, colored and fussy cut out these 5 mermaid tail stockings. I used the blends I share in my Copic 101 post here. For the background, I did a little bit of ink smooshing on Distress Watercolor Cardstock using Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide and regular Distress ink. Heat setting in between layers.

 

For the sentiment, I embossed with clear powder “merry christmas” and fussy cut it out, underneath I added, “peace love and holiday” (from the driving to the holidays set I used below). For finishing touches, I used a quickie glue pen and Prisma glitter on the tops of the stockings. I also added a silver mini brad into each stocking loop. I then dabbed a little Lawn Fawn glue tube and Prisma glitter to those for some added sparkle.

Snowflakes vs. Seashells

I LOVE this sentiment “who needs snowflakes when you have seashells”. This is my mantra for ALL winter 😉

For this card, I started by stamping out the background with Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar, and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide inks.  I stamped, colored and fussy cut out the mermaid and crab. I added a touch of glitter and some white pen details to them.

I stamped the sentiment in Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide and Versafine Black. I also added the string of ornaments. I added some silver sparkle to those and some clear drops to the background.

Polar Wishes

This card was so quick and easy, and I just love the simplicity of it! Using one of Flora and Fauna’s small sets, Polar Ice Caps, along with the birch trees and snow from the Winter Woodland set.

 

I ink blended a touch of Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, then I stamped the birch trees. I added a touch of white pen to the birch trees. I stamped the snow with Milled Lavender Distress Oxide Ink. The polar bear was stamped, colored with Copics and fussy cut out to add to the card. I added a touch of Prisma glitter with a quickie glue pen and stamped the sentiment in Versafine black ink.

Cozy Holiday Wishes

I was done designing my stack of Flora & Fauna holiday cards, I went to bed, and I dreamt of this card… so I woke up the next morning and created it before photographing all of the cards. I think it might be my favorite! I stamped the bottle from the “Mermaid Love” set. Coloring the whole background with Copic Markers. The Seahorse and little ornament are from the “Christmas by the Sea” set above. I stamped, colored and fussy cut them out. I added a bit of glossy accents bubbles, and with a Lawn Fawn Glue Tube I added some Chunky Glitter.

VW Holiday Vibes

For this card, it is using another small set from Flora &  Fauna, Mini Holiday Van Set. I love when you can use a small, inexpensive set to create a whole card. I stamped the trees directly onto the background of the card using Peeled Paint and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink. I added the ornaments directly to the tree with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink.

On another piece of paper, I stamped the van, colored it with Copic markers. I also stamped the present with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink. I fussy cut them both out and added them to the card with foam tape for added dimension. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Black Ink. Added some white pen detail on the ornaments, and silver stickles to the ornaments on the van. Lastly, I used a Lawn Fawn Glue Tube to add the Chunky Glitter to the ground.

Reindeer Wishes

For this set of cards, I used the “Driving into the Holidays” stamp set. I stamped the snowflakes in the background using Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide ink.

I stamped the antlers with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink. I stamped both of the VW’s in Festive Berries Distress Oxide Ink, fussy cut them out and popped them off the card with 3M foam tape. I stamped the sentiments in Versafine Black. To finish off the cards I added some Silver Stickles. I also added red gems to their noses.
