Hi, everyone! I am here today to share a card I created for the latest Lawn Fawnatics Challenge. This challenge is all about beach vs. mountain, and most of you know I will always choose the beach! Some of you might not know, I grew up in New Hampshire and until I was 22 years old I spent most of the time in the mountains! Another fun fact: I design all the badges for the Lawn Fawnatic Challenges, and the badge for this one is images of Franconia Notch, in New Hampshire and the shores of Cape Cod 😉
If you love Lawn Fawn you should definitely follow us over on that site- we have a fabulous team that offers inspiration and chances to win gift certificates to Lawn Fawn! This challenge is to create a card with a scene on it!
Have you registered for my next online Lawn Fawn class yet? Just add glitter is going to be SO much fun! As always you can take the online classes whenever they work in your schedule! You can see all the details here. Also, Kelly Marie and I will be teaching another Create with Us, a free mini-class, on June 14th. Details here.

Alright, now to the fun cards I have to share with you-
Anchor Away, Lawn Fawnatics
I had so much fun creating these mini slimline cards. I used smooth sailing, stamping out the images with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink, on Lawn Fawn 80# White Cardstock and coloring them with Copic markers. I have the markers that I used listed below and linked in the supply list at the bottom of this post.
For the first card, I diecut some scene building items, waves from Simple Stitched Wavy Borders, and a beach from Simple Stitched Hillside Borders.
I ink blended them with Distress Oxides in Broken China and Tea Dye. I then diecut them with the largest rectangle in the Large Mini Slimline Stackables. I ink blended the sky with Salvaged Patina Distress Ink.
I stamped the sentiment and some seagulls with Versafine Onyx Black, and added Prisma Glitter with a Quickie Glue Pen onto the anchor, the shadow of the sailboat, the light of the lighthouse, and the shadow of the clouds.
I had already colored and die-cut the smaller sailboat, and the large anchor, so I decided to use those images to create another card! I colored and cut one more anchor and a few stars.
I then die cut the largest stitched rectangle from the Small Mini Slimeline Stackables, and ink blended 3 rows of waves using the Ocean Wave Stencils and regular Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass, Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon, and blender brushes. Whenever I am using stencils, I use the Wendy Vecchi Stay-tion to hold the stencils in place it makes it so easy, and I LOVE IT! I also filled an empty mister bottle with isopropyl alcohol, and use that with a flour sack cloth for quick clean up of ink on the stencils.
I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black and I knotted some rope into the anchors, adhering them and the sailboat to the card with foam squares.
