OMG, Jenn, my Dad was in that storm too…it took him 9 hours to get from Milton, to Braintree (picked up my step mom) then drive to Framingham. NINE HOURS?!? I’ve never heard or seen anything like this. What does Mass never get snow? Did they forget about it from last year? I guess the “official” story is that since SOOO many people were leaving work/school or whatever early, there was much more traffic on the streets and the plows couldn’t get through to plow the roads because it was just totally bumper to bumper dead stop. My Dad was laughing to me about all the people doing stupid shit, all the big ass SUV’s fishtailing because they were excelerating too fast, and my Dad was in a little Honda and had NO problems.
Thank god they plow out here! It’s been snowing here since Christmas eve night, and it’s still going now. I’d bet if it’s still snowing when I wake up tomorrow it’ll be around a good foot, at least.
DUMB SNOW…I’m just glad it’ll be sunny in a day, melt and be gone….until the next blizzard.
