peter jennings is the first man i ever remember reporting the news to us. my dad faithfully watched abc news everynight at dinner… i grew up watching peter jennings….
a few months ago when he announced on the news he had lung cancer, i said to myself.. how sad it would be when he was no longer here.. to keep us informed

I totally thought about how PJ was a staple in my home every evening… You could hear his voice on the TV as we all sat down for dinner. I have to agree with you… his passing is definitely a sad sad event in news reporting history.
