Lately my blog has been filled with cards and other creative inspirations. I haven’t really talked much about life in general. Today I wanted to share with you the new adventure that I am about to partake in.
I have been a web designer for the last 4.5 years at Providence College. When Colorful Creations closed I wasn’t quite sure where life would lead me. I was offered a position at Providence College and proceeded to commute 3 hours a day for work. I did this for 2 years. When the commuting got old, not to mention SUPER expensive, I said good by to my beloved island and moved to Providence.
Even though Rhode Island is the “Ocean State” I miss my beloved ocean. I miss being close enough to be able to see it on a daily basis. I miss Cape Cod.
I am happy to announce that I have accepted the position of Web & Digital Designer at Cape Cod Life Publications. I start on April 19th. I am so excited for this new adventure and to be part of the Cape Cod Life Family!
Chris and I are actively looking for a place to rent on the Cape and we are excited to be back near the ocean soon!
Funny how on a layout I created about my job at PC I quoted Steve Jobs “The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking, don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.” And this is exactly what is encouraging me to move on.
I have been so lucky to have worked with fabulous people throughout all of my jobs in life. I look forward to building a relationship with a new team of people at Cape Cod Life.
So this very busy spring is just going to get busier… bare with me if I am delayed a little in replying to comments and/or emails as I get settled into my new job.
The May Mixed Media Loft Art Retreat will still be happening (and there are still some seats available). I will take the summer months to figure out a plan for upcoming Art Retreats in the fall and of course will keep you guys posted!
