I am so excited to introduce you to my friend Dana Joy – how excited was I to be paired up with her for this amazing Pass the Brush event! One word that comes to mind when I think of Dana is SPUNK! She has supported me over the years, taken my classes, and encouraged me in my creative journey. She has done it all with SPUNK. AND a huge smile. She fills the room with laughter 💙 oh yeah, and did I mention she is wicked creative?! ⠀
⠀
On Thursday and Friday, July 16 & 17th she is going to take over my Instagram, and I hope you will welcome her and show her the love you all show me. ⠀
Here is a picture of Dana, me and Pam who is also participating in this event.

I am excited to highlight, promote, support, amplify, and celebrate black artists in the mixed-media and papercrafting communities. Invisible no more. You are going to love discovering these creative peeps. There will be many artists taking part in #PassTheBrushArt so I encourage you to follow the hashtag and be ready to be INSPIRED! ⠀
Be sure to follow and learn more about Dana here:
I’m thrilled to see this event, and that you are participating in it, Jenn! Our field (whether professionals or hobbyists) needs more artists of color highlighted, and looking at Dana’s IG, I can see she is super talented. One day, I hope, no one will need to point out the skin color of a given artist to make sure they get noticed, but until then, let’s keep this up!
When I saw this last night, it brought the biggest smile on my face! Dana Joy is an all time fav of mine from years past when I first started making cards and following all the talented crafters like you, Jenn. So cool that you two are partners!! I’m following on Instagram!! 🙂
