Edited to add 11/19 : This event is SOLD OUT. We sold out on the day of registration, something that has never happened in all the years this event has taken place. THANK YOU for your excitement! If you missed out on a seat, and would like to be added to the waitlist you can do so by emailing us jenn@croponthhcape.com
As I announced, registration for Crop on the Cape which will be held in person March 16-19, 2023 is this Saturday, November 19th at 10a ET. This is a very popular event so I thought I would share some tips to help you with registering on Saturday
Want a reminder text on your phone 15 minutes before registration opens? Text “jennshurkus” (all one word) to 833-758-0501 (if you have already signed up for text alerts from me, you don’t need to do this again)
I also hosted a LIVE going over these details and you can watch the replay here
Crop on the Cape is a fun in-person papercrafting event that over 250 people attend. You can work on your own projects (scrapbooking, cardmaking, mixed media, etc) and sign up for additional classes if you choose. We have a variety of vendors on-site for all your shopping needs. We host fun games, and giveaways throughout the weekend as well! The cost is $175 per person. You will register for your hotel room separately and you can find all of that information here.
I encourage you to read over the Crop on the Cape website to learn even more about this fabulous event.
Crop on the Cape is a bit different than the Creative Journey Art Retreat which is another in-person event that I host. I plan on hosting another in-person (the first since the pandemic) Creative Journey Art Retreat in the fall of 2023.
More information about registration:
I recently upgraded my site, and part of those upgrades is to hopefully help registration for large events like this run smoother. I also am investing in an upgrade to my web hosting for the time of registration. Think of it as my site is a one-lane highway right now, and when everyone tries to register, that one-lane highway gets blocked, and things break. Well, I have upgraded my site to a four-lane highway for high traffic times during registration and this will help. It worked great when I hosted registration for my next virtual Creative Journey Art Retreat and I expect it will be the same this time. As always with technology things can happen. If you are experiencing any errors or delays during registration, please know I am frantically working behind the scenes to get things working and up and running as soon as possible. Fingers crossed for a smooth process, and I appreciate your patience.
Become familiar with my new site- be sure to set up an account ahead of time and know your password.
set up/log into your account here
fill out as much information as possible in your account to help speed up the registration process, this also helps me assist you down the road when you have questions about classes you have registered for, etc. Fill out your name, billing address, shipping address, etc.
At the time of registration, you will want to either go to the shop, then click “Crop on the Cape registration”
OR you can just choose “classes” from the menu.
The classes on this page are divided into Upcoming Classes, and then in chronological order, and then Classes On-Demand. You will want to scroll to the bottom of the Upcoming Classes, to see Crop on the Cape since it is hosted in March.
Exclusive classes: Before registration, now, you can check out all the different classes that are being offered during the event and that you can register for. There is a wide variety of classes from some fabulous teachers – be sure to treat yourself!
Exclusive Gear: You can also see all the fun gear that you can pre-order. I want to be sure that you are able to get the size, style, color, and design in gear that YOU want- so be sure to pre-order! We will not be bringing a lot of extra gear to sell on-site. All gear that is pre-ordered will be available for pickup at the event, we will not be shipping this.
At this time all Crop on the Cape Classes and gear is exclusive to those attending the event. You must be registered to be able to purchase these items.
Edited to add: You must be registered first for the event before you can purchase any classes or gear, so you will need to complete two different purchases.
Register for a friend!
You can register for a friend or even two friends, up to eight friends, but be sure to know all of their info
- First Name
- Last Name
You can add on a Phantom Seat (Limited Availability):
Wishing you had more table space to craft? Well, we have an option for you. We have a limited number of phantom spaces available for the cost of $50. With this purchase, you will receive an extra space next to you. This is always a huge hit so be sure to register early if you want a phantom space. Once it is sold out, email us if you would like to be on a waitlist.
Seating requests:
You will also have a space to list out who you want to sit with. As I am sure you can imagine organizing a seating chart for 250 people is a challenging task. If your group is larger than 4, please list as many as you can in your group and we will do the best we can to accommodate your requests. Note: If your group is larger than 8 you will be seated at different groups of tables. Please be sure everyone in your group lists the SAME people on their registrations. Please list first and last names. We do our best to accommodate all seating requests. Our priority is that you are able to sit with your group of friends. We do our best to handle specific seating requests, but there are no guarantees. Thank you for understanding.
Payment: You will be able to pay with either a credit card or PayPal.
You can always log into your account at www.shurkus.com/my-account and see what you have registered and signed up for.
I would love it if you help spread the word about this event. Download the image below, by clicking it, the image will be on your screen and you can choose to save it and then share it on your social media! Be sure to tag me @jennshurkus and @croponthecape and use #CropOnTheCape
