Hey everyone! Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Anything Goes challenge last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too. This week the challenge is Happy Birthday! I have some fun watercolored birthday cards to share with you!

Of course in honor of this special occasion we are showcasing Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Products! You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge, but if you have them we would love to see them used!
When I was at Crop on the Cape a few weekends ago I was having fun just playing with different color combos using Distress Inks, Distress Watercolor Cardstock and the “smooching” technique. You smooch a bunch of Distress Ink colors on a craft sheet, spritz with water and then plop your cardstock into it and pick up the color. I just love the results. Its really an easy technique but the results are SO SO SO pretty!
I ended up taking these backgrounds, die-cutting them with Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Rectangle and stamping a variety of the sentiments from Simon Says Stamps Big Birthday Wishes. When I got home I put them on black cardstock card bases and sprinkled them with some Hero Arts Mixed Accents. I ended up with a stack of birthday cards, that didn’t take a whole lot of time to create but I just know their bright colors will bring smiles to the faces of who gets them!
