Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous: Christmas Cartoons
I had a ton of fun creating this card set, and they came together quickly, so if you are looking to build up your holiday card stash- here you go! For this card set, I used the new Christmas Cartoons stamp set, this was such a fun set to create with! I used Distress Oxides in the following colors:
- Kitsch Flamingo
- Picked Raspberry
- Festive Berries
- Cracked Pistachio
- Lucky Clover
- Peacock Feathers
I created the backgrounds by stamping repetitively with all the fun images in the Christmas Cartoons stamp set on Distress White Cardstock.
I then ink blended with the same Distress Oxide colors onto the cardbases, and a strip of Distress White Heavystock. I stamped the speech bubbles, and selectively stamped the sentiments, knowing I was going to feature one word from the sentiment. I then fussy cut them out. For the focus word, I diecut gold sparkle cardstock using the letters in the Santa Greetings Sizzix set.
I used the Make Art STAY-tion and Best Ever Craft Tape to line up the letters and pick them up, then I used a glue tube to adhere them to the ink-blended band of cardstock. I then added a touch of Unicorn Stickles to the stars on the background.
I had so much fun creating this set of cards and I hope they have inspired you, and maybe it has “jennabled” you a bit to go shopping! Setting up the stamps on a stamping platform and stamping them in one color on one background, and then cleaning the stamps and stamping the next ones. Distress Oxides stamp nicely and clean up easily off your stamps with a stamp shammy so this process does go by quickly- try it out! If you do be sure to share with me!
