The Simple Things, Pinkfresh Studio

For these cards, I started by hot foiling with the new Dragonfly Dreams press plate. If you didn’t know, you can hot foil with all of your press plates, which is awesome because you can get so many different looks from just one product. I’m also using the new Glimmer II Machine. It’s an upgrade to the original Glimmer machine, and I love the changes they’ve made. I shared a quick video all about it here.

To add a touch of color to the dragonfly’s open wings, I used Copic markers. I forgot to make a swatch, but I used V15, V12, and V000.

Next, I die-cut a piece of Distress White Heavystock with the new Leafy Loops Coverplate die. Then I ink-blended over it with Pinkfresh’s 1″ Blending Brush for a really soft blend, using their Wisteria ink.

For the sentiment, I hot foiled the new Simply Said set.

To line up all the elements, I used the negative piece from die-cutting. I liked how everything was laid out in the packaging, so I pressed my die-cut elements back through the negative piece to place them the same way.

I finished off the card with some Amethyst Glitter Drops.
