The Rabbit Hole Designs, Meowgical

Hi everyone! I’m here to share with you some fun Halloween, or should I say “meowgical” cards I created with some of the latest stamps from The Rabbit Hole Designs! I loved being able to create some more holiday cards to add to my pile that I have created throughout the year for Get Cracking on Christmas.

What you might not know is that MaryAnn, the owner of The Rabbit Hole Designs is slightly obsessed with my kitties, and she is actually Jac’s number one fan. So when she knew this set was coming out she contacted me to design with it, and I knew that was a BIG hint to make these kitties look like mine. Challenge accepted! Using the new Meowgical set from The Rabbit Hole Designs, I stamped out a bunch of the images. I used Lawn Fawn Jet Black and Lawn Fawn white cardstock which is Neenah Classic Crest 80 LB Smooth Solar White Paper to stamp them.

I used the above Copic markers to color the images. You will find them linked below in the cardmaking supply list. With the swatches above you can easily substitute for similar colors or even a different coloring medium. I then went to create the backgrounds on Distress Watercolor Cardstock. For two of the cards I black embossed the spider web. When I want a black embossing I use Versafine Onyx black and Ultra fine clear embossing powder. Of course, whenever I do ANY embossing, I prep the surface using the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool. I stamp the images several times over using a Misti and Versafine Onyx Black, then sprinkle the ultrafine clear embossing powder.

On another background, I spread some of the Distress Grit Paste Glow with a palette knife to mimic drips onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock.

I then used Distress Inks to create some inky backgrounds. I used Wilted Violet, Seedless Preserves, Lost Shadow, and Twisted Citron.

For this first card, I kept it pretty simple. I white embossed the sentiment. Once the card was assembled I added some Prisma glitter to the detail on the witch hat, and some chunky glitter to the bottom of the sentiment strip. I also added a sprinkling of Trinity Stamps Black Sparkle and Oh My Stars embellishments.

For this second card, I used an A2 Shaker Acetate Sheet to create an infinity shaker card. I used the same embellishments above for shaker bits and also added in some Fresh Fig embellishments from Trinity Stamps.

You can see above how I added a touch of glossy accents to the potion jar, this gives it a bit of shine and some dimension. I also added black glaze pen to the cat’s eyes and some white gel pen details on top of that. This is Jac by the way- I can see him playing with the potion more then Gus Gus would.

And for this third card, I wanted to make one with all three of my kitties. Gus Gus is in the pumpkin, Jac with the potion and of course, Mister Harley with the witch hat. This card is the one where I spread Distress Grit Paste Glow on the background, making it look like it was dripping down. I love how this looks in the light, and the dark!
