STAMPtember: Gracias

STAMPtember: Gracias

I got the new Berry Wreath die set and Say It In Spanish stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and I created this colorful thank you card with them!

I started by spraying Picked Raspberry, Wild Honey, Fossilized Amber, Mowed Lawn, Enchanted Mariner, and Seedless Preserves Distress Spray Stain on two pieces of Distress Watercolor Cardstock. This created a very rich and regal rainbow background. I dried them with the Ranger heat tool, and die cut one with the largest stitched rectangle in the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle set.

I then started to build the wreath. I diecut the circle with berries and the leaves with black cardstock. I added the main part to the card with black foam squares, and then started tucking in the leaves with foam squares as well.

I then diecut the small berries from Gold Metallic cardstock and the larger berries from Gold Sparkle Cardstock. What is great about this die set, is the berries are a cluster, you die cut it once and you have enough for the whole wreath.

I added the berries by dabbing on some liquid glue and using a gem pick-up tool to place the cardstock berries on top.

For the sentiment, I took the other background I created and stamped “Gracias” from the new Say it in Spanish stamp set – I used Versafine Onyx Black, and ultrafine clear embossing powder, to get a nice clean black emboss.

I stamped the sentiment in the middle of the background, so the colors would match up where I am going to add the sentiment on the card front. I also used the Cottontail Powder Tool to take moisture out of the paper before embossing.
