STAMPtember: Drop The Mic
Simon Says Stamp sent me the new Drop The Mic stamp set as well as the new Patterned Circles Stencil. I had so much fun playing with these and I hope you find my projects inspiring!
I started by ink blending the Patterned Circle Stencil onto three different backgrounds using Pawsitively Saturated Ink and Distress White Heavystock. I also used the Make Art Stay-tion to help me space out the circles and keep everything straight when needed. I used the following Pawsitively Saturated Ink colors:
- watermelon
- peachy
- sunflower
- limelicious
- surf
- lilac
Did you know that Pawsitively Saturated inks come in ink cubes now?!
I used blender brushes (that I store in my favorite brush caddy). As always when I use stencils I used the Make Art Stay-tion and whenever I am ink blending I love to use the Ink Stands to hold my ink pads, I also use a small mister bottle filled with Isopropyl Alcohol, to quickly clean my stencils with a Flour Sack Cloth.
Once I had the backgrounds stenciled I die-cut them with the largest stitched rectangle in Lawn Fawn’s Outside In Stitched Rectangle set. I then stamped “Drop the Mic” and “nailed it” with Versafine Onyx black ink.
Then using a Quickie Glue Pen and Prisma Glitter I filled in the “drop the mic” letters – Glitter All of the Things!
I added these backgrounds onto card bases ( YAY me! ) where I ink blended the edges with the same ink colors as above. Lastly, I added a few Pinkfresh Studios Glacier jewels using my Trinity Stamps pickup tool and tray.
I hope this inspires you, and maybe even “jennables” you to need some new goodies!
Hope you have a fabulous time during all of the STAMPtember celebrations!!
