Snowflake Holiday, Tim Holtz

11/29/2017

Time for a NEW Simon Says Stamp Wednesday ChallengeHey, everyone! Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our challenge last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too. This week the challenge is a Anything Goes!

We are featuring Tim Holtz Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge, but if you have them we would love to see them used! As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store! YAY!

Snowflake Holiday, Tim Holtz

I have been dying to play with Tim Holtz’s new Swirly Snowflakes Cling Stamps and Mini Swirly Snowflakes Cling Stamps. I LOVE all things snowflakes (even though I hate winter) but I wanted to wait until I got the dies (Swirly Snowflakes Wafer Thin Dies)  that coordinated with the stamps, because that is what made me most excited! Perfectly cut out delicate snowflakes!! YES!

I started off by stamping the Flurry background from Flurry and Pine Cling Stamps and embossing it with white powder. I then ink blended over it with distress inks (seedless preserves, dusty concord, stormy sky, black soot). I stamped the snowflakes in distress inks as well, on distress watercolor cardstock. While the ink was still wet I went over different areas with the Tim Holtz Detailer Waterbrush to blend out the color. I then cut them out with the dies. AWESOME!

I stamped the sentiments from Tim Holtz Great Outdoors Cling Stamp Set and Holiday Postmarks Stamp Set. I stamped them with versamark on black cardstock and embossed them in white.

Once the card was assembled I went over the snowflakes with Zig Gansai Tambi Starry Watercolors Blue Gold Paint.

Ok- so now it’s time for YOU to enter the challenge. Remember, Anything Goes! Just by playing along and linking up your project to the SSS Wednesday Challenge post you can qualify to enter a $50 shopping voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store.
