Hi everyone!! I’m back with more STAMPtember fun, this time featuring a fabulous stamp & die set from Newton’s Nook Designs. It is hard for me to create a Newton’s Nook card, without featuring my Mister Harley, and even though he has passed, I decided to still make him shine on one of these cards.
🌟 A quick reminder: STAMPtember is a month-long celebration hosted by Simon Says Stamp, with exclusive products released from SSS and other favorite brands. These sets are limited edition, once they sell out, they’re gone for good!

Now, to share the cards I created, I hope you find them inspiring!

I usually don’t like to create too many of the exact same cards, I get bored too easily! But once I land on a design or technique I love, I don’t mind making a few variations. That’s exactly what I did here, so I could showcase each of the adorable animals included in this stamp set.
I stamped the images with Lawn Fawn River Rock ink pad to give a softer, cool-toned look. I colored with Copic markers, keeping things simple but vibrant. Below you’ll find my marker swatches along with the full list of colors I used, so you can easily recreate the look, or, of course, use your own favorite coloring medium! 🎨✏️
👉 If you’re new to alcohol markers or just curious about Copics, my Copic 101 online class is the perfect place to begin. It even comes with a handy workbook to guide you step by step!
Once the critters were ready, I masked them off and added some soft ink blending with Distress Inks. Then I layered the Newton’s Nook Petite Snow stencil on top and blended through with Distress Oxide Ink for a delicate snowy background. To add even more texture, I stamped a few snowflakes from the set with the same Oxide ink and finished it all off with some splatters of white paint for that wintry touch.
To complete the card, I framed the scene using Lawn Fawn’s Scalloped Rectangle Frame, cut from Silver Sparkle Cardstock, the perfect finishing touch to make these winter critters shine.

I added Prisma glitter on the open letters on the sentiments. I added Distress Rock Candy to the accents on the animals and along the ground to give an icy look. I used Glossy Accents to hold onto the glitter.

There are a lot of ways you could use these fun products, but remember it is limited and exclusive! Once it is sold out it is GONE!
