STAMPtember® Simon Says Stamp

Hey everyone! Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! If you are visiting from Heather’s blog– HELLO!!! 🙂

Thank you for joining us for the Make It Colorful challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too. This week the challenge is STAMPtember® Use a Stamp and Blog Hop. (be sure to read to the end to see where to HOP to next) You must create a project using rubber or clear stamps, no digi images allowed. Remember you can enter up to 5 times! 🙂

We are showcasing the new STAMPtember® products that have just been released. It is a HUGE release with loads of fabulous stamps, dies, stencils and much more! As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store.

Simon Says Stamp Grab Bag

I have a Simon Says Grab Bag to give away (as does each of us on the SSS Wednesday Design Team) all you need to do is leave me a comment AND enter the challenge!

OK- so now onto my creations!!! I had so much fun with the new STAMPtember® products that I received in my mailbox that I created not one, not two… but THREE cards to share with you today!

Last week I was on Periscope sharing how I color in images with watercolors, mostly Distress Inks, but I shared a little about watercolor pencils too. It was such a fun broadcast! I felt like I was hanging out with my crafty friends! While on the scope I colored all of the images on my cards today. I just needed to come up with the backgrounds and card designs. If you would like to learn more about Periscope you can read  my informational page here. I plan on scoping once a week with techniques, sharing products etc. Be sure to follow me!

STAMPtember® Simon Says Stamp | shurkus.com

For the first card I want to share with you I used the new Radiant Sunflower Dies and Big Scripty Greetings Holiday. Yep, HOLIDAY- but I created a non holiday card. I love doing that – getting more bang for your buck with a stamp set!

Radiant Sunflower Dies, Simon Says StampBig Scripty Greetings Holiday, Simon Says StampBack to School, Simon Says Stamp

For the second and third card I used the new Back to School set. What I didn’t realize when I first got this set is my facebook friend and fellow New Englander, Nina-Marie designed it! How cool is that!?!?! As soon as I saw that nerdy kitty I just knew I was going to have to color it to look like Mister Harley. Which by the way, did you see his back to school photo I shared on instagram?

Mister Harley, Back to School

STAMPtember® Simon Says Stamp | shurkus.com

Can you see the resemblance? I asked everyone on Periscope what color the text book should be and teal got the vote- perfect, as it IS my favorite color. My last card is with the school bus in the same Back to School stamp set. I will admit, I colored a bit out of the lines. It’s tough to keep up with the chat on Periscope AND color in the lines. I still like how this card turned out! I plan on sending both of the back to school cards to my nephews 🙂

The next person on the hop is Jennifer- be sure to visit her and leave a comment for another chance to win!

Ok- so now it’s time for YOU to enter the challenge. Remember, Use a Stamp! is the theme so have fun and create whatever inspires YOU as long as you use a rubber or clear stamp! Just by playing along and linking up your project to the SSS Wednesday Challenge post you can qualify to enter a $50 shopping voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store.
Don’t Forget: Each DT member also has a Simon’s Goody Bag to give away too! All you need to do is leave me a comment on this post AND enter the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

#ssswchallenge on Instagram

Also if you are on instagram tag your photo with #ssswchallenge 🙂

There will be ONE lucky winner that will be chosen at random, it could be you!

Simon Says Stamp PrizeI really hope to see some of my blog readers join in on all the fun and play along with the challenge. I can’t wait to stop by some of your blogs and take a peek at what you have made. Have a wicked fun time creating!

Love all the cards – especially the school themed ones. Our oldest granddaughter started kindergarten last week. Will have to stock up on school things to send her cards.

Beautiful cards – I particularly like how you made the ‘splogy’ background in bright colors as they make the central images POP!!

JENN!!!! Your cards turned out so adorable! I had so much fun watching you color all these images on Periscope. The background on the sunflower card is just gorgeous, that purple with the yellow is STUNNING. And I ADORE your Mr. Harley card… and the photo of him with his bow tie is too stinkin’ cute!!!!! The bus card where you colored out of the lines; I honestly thought you did that on purpose. It looks great and very loose! The background you made behind it goes together PERFECTLY. Fabulous job!
