I am back with a Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge card!
This week’s challenge is Winter Inspiration – the design team is featuring Penny Black products! I had the pleasure of putting together the Winter Inspiration board. It was so much fun!
I wanted to stick with the icy, wintery, snowflake theme of this board. I kept being drawn to the upper left hand image. So I decided to use the Prancer set from Penny Black to recreate it.
I stamped one of the pine trees repetitively in Pumice Stone Distress Ink. I then watercolored the sky with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. I then used Stampendous Chunky White Embossing Enamel on the scene, creating a snowy day. For the snowy ground and path I used Distress Dry Stickles in Rock Candy.
Don’t you just love that ribbon? Love the gold sparkle and that it is wired so I could form it how I would like. Too bad it’s just from my random ribbon bag. Yes, I have a bag of random ribbon pieces 🙂
The splash of red for the sentiment is inspired by the berries and cardinal in the inspiration board!
Ok- so now it’s time for YOU to enter the challenge. Use the winter inspiration board above to inspire you to create something!
Just by playing along and linking up your project to the SSS Wednesday Challenge post you can qualify to enter a $50 shopping voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store.
One lucky winner will be chosen at random, it could be you!
I really hope to see some of my blog readers join in on all the fun and play along with the challenge. I can’t wait to stop by some of your blogs and take a peek at what you have made. Have a wicked fun time creating!
Make sure to check back each Wednesday for another fun challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog!

thank you heidi!!!
I love this card soooo much! It’s gorgeous! How did you use the embossing enamel to make the falling snow? I love the look of this!
With the Stampendous embossing enamel, the powder is quite chunky. All you need to do is sprinkle some on your card where you want the “snow” then I melt it with my embossing gun from underneath the paper. Super easy and no ink needed! 🙂 You can see me use it in a tutorial video here https://youtu.be/Duy5vgSjkEY?t=6m39s

Simon Says Stamp!
You have taken beautiful photographs. I like them all very much but my two favorite are the real snowflakes…..utterly amazing and the deer peeping over the snowbank. Your card is lovely. I like the colors you chose very much, the beautiful ribbon and the sentiment in red which makes it pop.
thank you so much Tricia. I didn’t take the photos, they were gathered from pinterest. appreciate you visiting my blog and the sweet comments about my card- thank you!
I’m staring and staring and trying to figure out how your trees look so shiny/sparkly. Did you only stamp in Pumice Stone? maybe it’s just my imagination that is making it sparkly.
Just pumice stone distress ink on the pine trees… nothing sparkly except for the snowy path i created 🙂
Thanks for the inspiration board!
you are very welcome Laura Jane 🙂
