Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Furry Friends

I am back with a Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge card! Thank you for joining us for the Going Dotty challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too. This week the challenge is Furry Friends! Any furry critters will do as long as they inspire you to be creative and you can enter up to 5 times! 🙂

We are showcasing Newton’s Nook Designs this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used. As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store.

I love Newton’s Nook and all their fun critter designs 🙂 Newton’t is the perfect kitty stamp to color however you would like- and of course I usually color mine to look like Mister Harley! I guest designed for Newton’s Nook back in May and Jennifer Jackson the owner is just the sweetest!

I think one of my favorite sets from Newton’s Nook is Naughty Newton. It just cracks me up and makes really fun cards! I decided to make a thank you with one of the images.

I cut 2 Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares. 1 from some Lawn Fawn paper and the other from Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I then stamped Mister Harley on the stitched square and on another scrap of Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I watercolored him in with Distress Watercolor Markers, making sure I got his markings correct.

I fussy cut out the cat and some of toilet paper so I could pop up some of the pieces- hoping to show the paper flowing around him.

I watercolored the background with Broken China Distress Ink.

The sentiment is from Newton’s Nook Simply Sentimental and I stamped the “thanks” with Hero Arts Bubble Gum ink and then “for everything you do” with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

This notecard is 4.25″ x 4.25″ a fun little square note.
