Shimmer, Sparkle Flowers
So I have a confession when I knew what this challenge was and I picked out products I was going to use for this challenge I had high hopes that I was going to do a mixed media canvas. I LOVE the prima marketing canvases I have seen where an artist stick a bunch of embellishments on it, gesso over it so it has a nice base color of white and then adding different colors on top. I believe this style was brought on by Anna Dabrowska/Finnabar and I have always admired it. Sadly, I just didn’t have the time to pull it together. I am still recuperating from the Creative Journey Art Retreat and working on a HUGE project at work (which I hope to be able to share soon) – so, I have tucked that creative idea aside and am sharing this fun card for now.
When creating this card it was a ton of fun to play with the Prima Art Alchemy Acrylic Paints. I mean how could I pass up one that is called mermaid sparkle!?! I also painted the stripes with the Sparks Dragon Eye gold shimmer paint. Super fun right?I decided not to add a sentiment to this card, I thought I could always add one on the inside later or just leave it as a blank note to send a sweet message to a friend.
The centers of the flowers needed a touch more sparkle, so I dabbed on some multi matte medium and sprinkled ultra-fine glitter on them.
