I hadn’t had a chance to share this card over here on my site. It was on the Lawn Fawnatics site last week. Which is another thing I wanted to mention, with my schedule this spring I haven’t been able to play along in all of the challenges- but I wanted to remind you there is a new challenge, and it is a fun little summer mood board I put together 🙂

I have been wanting to create an underwater mermaid card with the Bayou Backdrop since I first started playing with it in late December! I loved combining Distress Inks on Distress Watercolor Cardstock for a fun textured look for the seaweed and water. All the fun coral stamps that come with Mermaid For You are cute peeking behind the Bayou Backdrop and of course, I had to throw in some chunky glitter in there! (work it!).
All of the images were colored with Copic Markers, and then I added a lot of detail with a Quickie Glue Pen and Prisma Glitter.
Wasn’t quite sure how I was going to do a sentiment but stamped right on the background totally works and I like how it turned out 🙂
I made TWO of these cards because I promised Natalie, who owns Scrapbook Centrale I would send her one for display in her store.

Jean, this card is darling. I have the pieces of an underwater card that i have had for about a year. You may have inspired me to get them out and make a card with them during the challenge. I was never really happy with the background. I love the colors you used and I think i’ll be happier with something more vivid.
