Hey friends! I have some halloween cards with a fun little spin to share with you today! I used some of the fabulous coordinating dies for Tim Holtz stamps from Stampers Anonymous.
Even better? These dies are exclusively available at Simon Says Stamp! 🙌
Not only do they save you from all that fussy cutting, but they also unlock a whole new world of creative possibilities, especially when it comes to layering and collage. Let’s dive in!

Pumpkins with a Pop, Tim Holtz

To create these backgounds, I followed my friend Stacy’s moon tutorial she shared here. I used Distress Spray Stains and Distress Oxide Sprays. I then went over it with the halloween stencil and Pumice Stone Distress Oxide. I splattered a bit of Gansai Tambi Starry Colors. I added some Distress Rock Candy to the moons.
For the Pumpkins, I heat embossed them, and watercolored them in with Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers Distress Watercolor Pencils. I then die-cut them with the new coordinating dies, and inked the edges with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
I used a paper distresser on the edge of the backgrounds, and I white embossed the sentiments.
I am enjoying experimenting with different color palettes – it’s a lot of fun!

I’m usually not a big fan of Tim Holtz stamps as that’s just not a style I lean towards but something about these pumpkins and the gorgeous Distress finishes just grabbed me. These cards are gorgeous and spooky and all the Halloween things! Love them all!!!!
