Hey everyone! I still need/want to blog about my trip up north to NH to see my dad, but wanted to post this first, so stay tuned for some beautiful NH pics soon!!
I hope you will take a minute and read about the “heroes card drive” that Lawnscaping is hosting. There are a few guidelines that HAVE to be followed when sending cards to our troops, but I’m sure some of you might even have some cards in your stash that fit the criteria. I’m going to try and make a few cards here, a few cards there and send a bunch to Laurel before the end of July. I started with a few “thinking of you” type cards. I am listing the supplies below, both cards have stickles on them for glitter, because it is VERY important not to have loose glitter on your cards you send over seas (read more about the guidelines here)
The first card also fits in with Hero Arts June Contest, this is my “thinking of you” card. I was telling the “peeps” in my class at Ink About It the other night, that I am loving these challenges and contests- not to win (although that’s fun too) but to inspire me. If I think about it, for the majority of the years I have been papercrafting, I have also been teaching- so my classes are what inspired and drove me. Now, I’m not teaching as frequently (going from 3 classes a week to 1 a month) i love these challenges and contests hosted by A Blog Named Hero, Hero Arts, Lawnscaping, and Moxie Fab for inspiration and a stepping stone when i sit down at my studio table to PLAY!
Note: The copics linked below are for Sketch style, I use the Original Style in my studio, but wanted to link the colors used
These are cute, Jenn! I really like the owl, set upon the wide expanse of blue. 🙂
