I was inspired by the reds and the love images from the above mood board. I used the snowy backdrop stamp and white embossed a background on Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I then added in a few solid hearts to make the background more “lovey”.

Then I ink blended over the whole background. The top center I used Spun Sugar Distress Ink, and then the rest was Festive Berries Distress Ink. I stamped 4 Winter Owl’s and copic colored them.

I gave 2 of them red scarves and the other two pink. I cut them and I cut out some small dotted squares. All of these were perfect to cut out with the Sizzix Sidekick.

The next fun part was the sentiment. The one that comes with the set says “owl I want for christmas is you” and it is all bunched together. I wanted it to read “all I want is you” in a strip so I did some selective inking which is easy to do with the Lawn Fawn mini ink cubes. I used Walnut ink which is part of the Candy Store set.

This is so cute. It could definitely be used for Valentine’s too.
